My roommate seemed pretty upset tonight. I haven't had much of a chance to get to know her yet because of everything that's been going on, but after those comments where she seemed upset, she left and she hasn't come back yet. She seems to have a lot of friends here, but we're roommates. It's a lot harder to comfort someone you don't really know than someone you know. Do you have any idea about what I should do?

... It might be a little hard for you, too, since I remember how it was when you wrote those letters. But any help would be appreciated!

I know I'm not really good at cooking, so I eat out a lot, but isn't tuna supposed to have a taste? The rice was kind of crunchy at the restaurant I ate at, too. Was that real food or is that another thing that's different in this world?

I suppose I would give her space until she returns, and ask if she's all right then. She may not talk about it, since you're unfamiliar with each other, but expressing that concern is important. You might not be able to help her, but it would be better than doing nothing.

The fish isn't really the same here! It makes me a little glad my old man isn't here. I'm getting used to working around it, but I think he'd be pretty disappointed with it!
