So she's here, and of course we haven't said a word to each other. I keep crossing her scent. I'm so terrified the next time she'll be like them. In a space this small, who knows how many people they'd let her kill.

There's no treaty, but they haven't attacked yet. They probably think I'm not a threat. So I'll train.

It's a mad mad mad mad world, right? I'm still seeing things that shock me, man. I mean, a while ago there was some guy throwing shit around with his mind. I hear the school kids have fighting matches for P.E., I bet the norm's parents are realll happy with that. Is big city living normally this freaky, or is it just what happens when you stick a whole bunch of random fictional characters together and tell them to breed. (Still having Soylent Green throwbacks, though I can probably think of a couple of people who wouldn't mind if this place turned into cannibal central.)

Aah... the school in the world I came from used to have a lot of different kinds of battles. Not just in PE.

It really is rather disturbing.

Well I was homeschooled, so I never really had classes, but I always had the impression in the world I came from that fighting in school was looked down upon a lot.

I guess it's all about adaptability.

Well... Our school was based in many old traditions and fighting styles. In that, we learned our heritage, as well as self discipline. I learned a lot about my family...

My schooling was based on my family's traditions too. Dad taught me how to fish, carve, as well as all the a-b-c stuff. I never really believed all the folk tales about my heritage 'til I was older, though.
