Falling in and out of cracks, coming and going as they please, they've no sense of order or decency. Can't catalog someone when he's moving. Got to remember that, write it down in my journal and keep it for future reference. Can't hurt. This place was nice and he's happy here but it's not where we belong. We're spare buttons.

Thought I had the monopoly on growing up too fast. Now I know that's not true.

I miss the ocean.

Never been to a real ocean. All manufactured. Something for the wealthy. Got used to the recycled air, reminds me of home. But at home everyone thought quieter.

It's hard to get away from anything here. I know these aren't my memories.
