So... Did anyone else besides me get someone they're pretty sure they've never talked to for their Secret Santa?

I know that's supposed to be the point but I've never been good at picking generic presents.

I'll tell you the same thing I've been telling others; talk to their friends, read their interaction on the journals, find out who their roommate is... there are many ways to find out what people like without asking them directly.

I think my family's default of "hunting knife" would probably be a better bet. It's slightly more personal at least.
