(no subject)

Every week I'm here I get a little more itchy for the sky. This ain't no way for a man to live, like some sorta cockroach, scrabbling in the dirt.

Had my job for near on two months now. It's a strange sort of thing, staying in one place. Sometimes I think it's time to move on, but it'd only be a shallow change. Sounds trite, but I'm lonelier surrounded by people than I ever was on the edges of the black. Wish I could have word of how they're managing. I have nightmares of Serenity grounded, without me and Kaylee there to care for her. I hope Zoe's okay, and the doctor and his sister, and... and everyone else.

Kaylee? You've been quiet-like. That room-mate of yours not giving you any trouble, now, is he?

The caged bird that does not accept it's fate will quickly beat itself to death against the cage bars.

( ̄~ ̄;) That's a terrible saying.

It's rather true, though.

(・_・ ) ( ・_・) That's funny... I know someone who's broken free. ( ´∀`)

Besides.. I'd rather die beating myself against my cage then stay within it and do nothing. All I know is the vast expanse of the Sky.

Then that is the path you have chosen for yourself.

Birds don't have opposable thumbs to work wire-cutters!

But who knows, perhaps an opening will appear.

I think I have to agree with you there.

I haven't been on an airship in......well. Longer than I care to admit. But there's just something about being in the sky. It makes you feel free.

This place is enough to make you claustrophobic some days.

It would be easier to handle if there was a sky to see. Anything that's not dome, really.

A support group for the grounded among us. I like it; we could become a crew in and of ourselves. Better than staring up at the dome and testing gravity, at any rate.

....I apologize if that comes across as bitter. It seems I miss the sky more than I would have guessed.

I've been perfectly personable.

Actually, hardly been around. I do a lot of work.
