I'm pretty used to school uniforms, so I'll wear mine, but I'm wondering. How come a bunch of teenage bullies get to tell us what to do? Like, I know our parents aren't here but aren't there adults reading these things who are a little concerned about this Discipline Committee?

The truth is, they beat up students, sometimes for no reason at all. They don't have to follow their own rules if they don't want to, and from what I can tell a lot of them don't even go to class regularly. Also, they wear armbands. I don't see why this club gets to make major school decisions that can even override the teacher's.

It just bothers me a little. That's not what clubs are about.

Asuka's on the committee, right? Seriously, I'm coming over and teaching you how to defend yourself.

That's great. He's the fucker who broke my hand the first time.

Don't tell me that if they're beating you up, you're just going to turn the other cheek and take it.

You can't stand up to anyone if you're laid up in the hospital.

Yeah. I'm interested in seeing how long that keeps up.

Grapes it is.

In my school... there was sort of the same thing. Except the Disciplinary Committee was known as the Enforcement Group. Every year, all the school clubs would fight for to become the next Enforcement Group - but it doesn't even seem that we can do that.

Sometimes...

It got very political after a while. They started bullying small branches of our family. We stopped them, but it was discouraging... and difficult.

Ah... what do you plan on doing?

[identity profile] ryuume.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if we didn't, no one would. So we couldn't fail.

Ah! Usually, where I come from, whoever's stronger wins. I've never tried a petition or anything... They're picking on the younger children? That's terrible. It's one thing to have authority over people who can take care of themselves, but no one should bully children.

[identity profile] ryuume.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I agree! I don't mind the uniforms, I had to do that when I was in Todou... but it seems that other things are happening with it. If you want to resolve this peacefully, I want to do all I can to help!

Ah! I've seen you around but I don't think I've introduced myself. I'm Natsume Aya.

Heehee, don't worry about me getting hurt! But I'll do all I can!

The officials who granted us this authority didn't seem to share your concerns.

Are you really asking such a question? Maybe you're looking to follow your friend Charlie Dalton- challenging authority and spending your youth behind bars for it.

Your concern for your classmates is admirable, but you are hardly in the place to judge why or why not we were selected.

Your post brings up some interesting points, but I don't see the issue with armbands. They identify a group.

You cling to these social stigmas. What benefit do they bring you, besides rash judgments on authority figures.

I don't think armbands are such a stigma in the east, even with the same world history.

They don't have a right to hurt people.
