Like I predicted, spring came and went; we had drugged water and new school uniforms and still no cherry blossoms. It's hard to keep a sense of the seasons like this, but everything is a little fuzzier here than it was at home.

It isn't that I'm not grateful for the war not being here (or at least, not my war), but I thought this place would get less stifling with time. It hasn't. I haven't been at ease in months. The worst part is that I know perfectly well why.

Last night's concert was fun while it lasted! Hibari-san can be kind of scary sometimes... I occasionally run into him on the roof of the school when I'm taking a nap there, and it's always a kind of harrowing experience.
