While I'm absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to screw up some stranger's baby* before ruining my own** and I wholeheartedly thank the government for three weeks of free potential babysitter screening, I'm a bit more interested in the whole crazy murder spree that's all over the news.  Because this feels a bit too much like the insanity back home.  And no offense to the men and women at the BPD, but I've yet to see anything like this actually resolved through official law enforcement channels.  So hoping that someone out there actually knows what the holy hell is going on.  Normally I'd be all over this sort of thing, but it seems I've been graced with other responsibilities this week.

Of course his kind of crap happens when I'm saddled down with a baby.  Guess I need to get used to that.  Can't say I ever wanted this, but now that I have it, I'll be damned if I fuck it up.

I've made the executive decision that, just to spite the useless angsty whining teens and/or flamers on the network, we will be the most excellent parenting team Babylon has ever seen and our child will develop an unholy attachment that will ultimately lead to screaming matches with its parents later in life. Or we could just try to keep it alive? Your pick.

Also, it's a him, not an it. Shouldn't a doctor be able to tell these things?
