'Googlejournal'? What the hell is that? Did Google buy out the Russians?

Whatever. I want some answers. The people who greeted me wouldn't explain what's going on around here; so what's up? And what's all this emphasis on "breeding" anyway?

Has anyone seen a guy by the name of Metis around here either? He's a friend of mine and I haven't seen him since I got here. He's got short black hair and he probably comes off as a real piece of work ~~and he is but don't say that to him~~. Any information would be appreciated.

Actually, everything they told you is pretty much everything that we know! We're all a little confused, too. But they said they've been working on some kind of portal technology, and that's what brought us here. I don't think they've come up with a way for us to get back, though. I guess it doesn't go in reverse. I've been trying to get information out of the scientists that I work with, but they won't tell me anything! It's hard because I don't go there much anymore, since I have a different job now. But I'd sure like to study it. It sounds fascinating!

I don't really know! But they want us to stay here,which is all right with me, but I can definitely see why a lot of people don't like it! I mean, they like science... if they didn't, I'd definitely want to leave!

Oh, that's the other thing! Being transported here kind of warps time in the place you came from... so, actually, they probably don't even know that you're gone.

Maybe not. Still, it seems sort of weird that they'd just start dragging people. All this technology; couldn't they make clones or something?

What are clones?

Clones are things made in a laboratory instead of being born. They share the same genes as the original thing. So if you had a potato, and you made a clone of it, you'd have the exact same potato.

So... if you are born in a laboratory, you are a clone?

Wait, no. Sorry, that was a bad explanation. People can be born in laboratories and not be clones. Clones are copies of other things, they just are often born in laboratories.

There's test tube babies, or whatever, and they're born in laboratories, but they're not clones. So it isn't a requirement or anything.

Yeah, I mean I guess it makes some sense since they've been growing so rapidly lately but I didn't think they'd start a journal service.

I think I remember when Livejournal stated. A friend of mine got one, but all she posted was like, lyrics? It wasn't really my thing. I couldn't get one anyway, because of my parents.

I've heard a lot of people use Livejournal but I don't have one myself. I have a Myspace though.
