Spent an hour in the shower this morning, trying to wash the smell of rotting flesh from my skin and hair. What idiotic impulse led me to go out there on my own I will never know. For now, I guess I'll see if I can do a shift at the hospital. ~~Or perhaps the morgue.~~ I might as well make myself useful now that things have settled down.

Selina, I want to apologize for my behavior last night. My actions were inexcusable; as a trained agent of the Federal Government, I ought to have known better. I endangered myself and those around me, and I am profoundly grateful for your assistance.

Seriously though, "unarmed" was the issue. If you want a few pointers (kickboxing, judo, etc), it's not a problem.

I wasn't trying to engage with them, Selina, I was trying to get the civilians to safety. Did you really expect me to sit helplessly by while people were in danger right outside my door?

Me too once upon a time. Kind of lapsed, though.

I've found imprisonment in an apocalyptic dome to be surprisingly conducive to spiritual growth. Certain things have become easier to believe in.

Can't quite say the same for myself. But glad it's doing someone some good.
