So maybe... Tanabata wasn't as extravagant as it usually is at home, but it was still a lot of fun! I knew almost everyone who came, and that's the best kind of Tanabata for me! Thanks to everyone who helped and everyone who came! You all really made it a great festival. Yamamoto-san, your chirashi-sushi was really good!

We'll have to plan something better next year! Things were kind of thrown together at the last minute, but that's what made it great, right? I felt a little bad taking off my yukata... I still wanted to wear it. Did you have fun Oneechan?

I'm glad you liked it!

You think we're all still gonna be here next year?

(You were doing food, right? Best taiyaki I've had in ages!)

The yukata looked very nice on you, Aya-dono!

That'd be great! Your mochi were fantastic.

I've only been here a couple days, but coming in to Tanabata was pretty cool. I like the people I've met. But there's too much shit happening back home.

It was a very refreshing change from my usual routine here, yes.

It might be my imagination, but it feels like the stores have gotten a little better about finding the stuff we need! I guess they didn't expect as big of a Japanese population as they ended up with.

...yeah, that sounds a lot like what I left.

I was this close to getting her back, and now I'm farther from her than I've ever been. I guess it just makes me want to go hey, fate or coincidence or whatever the fuck I should be blaming, couldn't you wait ten minutes and let me get my princess back and save the world, thanks?

[identity profile] reversebladed.livejournal.com 2008-07-09 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
I did! It was a bit of a selfish one, but I cannot deny that it is what I hope for most right now, so...

I remember getting some funny looks and a raincheck the first time I tried to buy nori somewhere, but I guess they expect me to buy it now, because they always seem to have some when I ask!

I guess that's not a bad way to look at it.

But I've never really been the type to sit back and wait for anything.

I suppose we shall see.

I promised I'd protect her no matter what.

I can't do that if I'm stuck here without her.

I don't think I'm the only person in Babylon who buys nori!

But I guess I might be the person who buys the most of it...
