That night stretched on far too long.

Nothing. No folder, no post-its, not even a hunch. God damn it.

My visit to the prison was quite interesting. To be fair, I was checking up on Mason — and as it turns out, he wasn't there. Surprise to end all surprises. However, the facilities are somewhat nicer than I expected, if a little cramped. A sudden spike in crime rate will do that to a place. The group of people there is motley at best. Destruction is destruction, no matter who is behind it, though I do question some motivations. I suppose those are between the convicted and their god. And, of course, the government.

One has to wonder why two wealthy and powerful leaders would mysteriously turn up dead at roughly the same time. Babylon, do your wonders never cease.

Sleeping off migraines for a day was, uh, exciting? Not really. Spiderman never got side-effects like this from his danger sense, did he? It's such a rip-off.

Never really got them this bad before, either, but I guess rampaging superheroes gives it more of a workout than lovesick sea demons, I dunno.

skipping school, don't feel like it today. Assuming it didn't get torn up enough in the riots that class is cancelled anyway (as long as I'm wishing for things I can't have, seeing my girlfriend again would be nice, oh, and how about a pony?).

uh, sumeragi, where do we keep the aspirin?

Haruhi was hurt.

Major Katsuragi is in the hospital. They could not keep me for long; my injuries are not serious.

I've never been to a place where people are so stupid when it comes to good music.

Rock, when you get out of the hospital, we have major practicing to do. Even if it's only you and me, people are going to know who BLAST is.

I've been observing Jacob and this "friend" of his. He definitely represents the stereo-typical teenager. I really should be keeping my distance like I'm supposed to, however, curiosity gets the best of me sometimes. I'd like to expose the dog for who he really is.

The days without my Bella here are long and gruesome. I don't even know if she's fine, or hurt. I can't...

I can't protect her; I'm so useless here.

They tell me to breed, and that's near impossible. I feel my hunger rise with each passing human. Feeding is rare. Even if I was content, I wouldn't dare look at another women.

If I could breed, Babylon, believe me, I would.

I've never felt this pent up since I was rescuing Claire from Antarctica. Seriously, do you know how hard it is to get it on when the female lead is your sister and the only other female who isn't infected or family is a crazy psycho clone who turns into a bug?

Yeah.

All these parties people keep having make me feel like some pedo or something. People in their teens keep hosting them.

Well, at least you don't need to have an amazing party to drink your problems away. And with that, off to the fridge.

There will be a funeral for Zanski on the 15th of April. Greene's family have requested to have a private ceremony. I met her a few times, she was a wonderful woman with innovative ideas. The Dome will be much poorer for the loss of both these people.

Yesterday's incidents were another unfortunate occasion in a long string. The alleged criminals have been apprehended, of course — those who are not in hospital — and are awaiting trial. The government is going to be closing off certain sections of the city so as to have space to repair the damages. As far as I know there has been little or no damage done to the machinery which keeps us alive such as the air processors and weather simulator, or the portal itself.

But those are transitory lists. More importantly, we as a people are shaken but we will survive. There have been no reports of any fictional peoples missing or dead, but I know the hospital is working overtime. (Please be patient with our tireless medical staff, they're doing their best.) This is a time of trouble, and right now I'm unable to address the questions I am sure you have.

I just want to take a moment to applaud every person who went out with intent to assist; I never approve of vigilante justice, but this was the kind of community spirit I like to talk about as though it's the be all and end all. You may have been fighting for your best friend, or for your loved ones, or for the people who couldn't fight for themselves, but you did good. Some of us have powers, others don't, but using our resources to help the rest of the population is the best chance we have at survival.

This isn't any better than back home! Two friends in prison and two in the hospital. And I know Charlie would never hurt Knox like that, not really. Something's going on, and you guys had better find out what it is and get him released from prison. He's an idiot, but he's not a criminal! He's not.

I hate this place. The school's ruled by bullies and the government's run by incompetents. There are normal people here too! Normal people who can't defend themselves against stuff from a comic book!

I don't even know what a punctured lung is.

I would have been a shitty doctor anyway.

At least I finally got all the broken glass out of my room.
