So it's been awfully quiet around here. I mean, aside from random disappearances and the occasional new person. But really that's just a part of everyday life now, isn't it?

I mean, Dante said it earlier it's getting a bit boring around here, but I'm almost worried. Last time it was boring we got zombies.
[identity profile] lovedthemost.livejournal.com
Right, so.

I guess if we're all going to dodge all the zombie business, I may as well bring this up.

They got rid of those things awful quick, didn't they? I mean, there were literally thousands of those creatures, and not only did they manage to cure whoever got bit, there isn't a trace of any of those things left on the street. Well, aside from the damage I mean.

They couldn't have just tossed 'em outside either, not without risking exposing the whole colony to radiation.

It all seems a little suspicious, if you ask me.

I sort've feel bad for whoever gets this baby after we do. She's gotten so used to Nero's arm, she might not sleep without him in the room ever again. Of course, if Kyrie lets me we could always put him out for rent.

I had one of these things for a bit a while back. My mate Linda had about eight of the things. I just about twisted mum's arm off trying to get her to buy me one.

I don't really remember whatever happened to it. I probably got bored and it's stuck in a shoebox somewhere.

They're a pain though, it's always beeping when I'm right in the middle of doing something that I can't be messing with it for. Still, I've managed to keep it alive. Don't really know why I'm bothering because whatever they're planning with these things I'm not going along with it if I can avoid it.

It took a while, but we've finally gotten all the bits of glass from the front window that got smashed in last week out of the music bins.

At least, all the bits we could see. If anyone stops into Remix, be careful where you put your hands, you may come away with a new cut or two. God knows my hands are all bandaged up.

I'll dive back into it when I go into work tomorrow, just to make sure we eventually get everything. I should probably look into a thick pair of gloves, or something.

How d'you talk your boss out of thinking it's a brilliant idea to start stocking musical instruments? Yes we're a music shop, but we sell records. And it's not like he's got the room! Also, where is he going to find the things, there's no one around here who makes them, far as I've seen.

I'm pretty sure he's just been daydreaming out loud, but it's honestly hard to tell sometimes.

I never took my A levels, and I never really expected to go to University, but I'm getting so bored of the routine here I'm thinking I just might. As much fun as I'm having working at Remix, it's getting a bit, well. Tired.

I've got no clue about science half the time, but I had been learning. More on alien stuff, but I guess if I can work out how to pilot the TARDIS I can do anything else.

Right, so. Anyone got any ideas how to get out of this place yet?

Christmas was...quiet. Aside from my secret santa's gift and Andrew's cookies (thank you both, by the way) it wasn't much like Christmas, I guess. I got a tree and decorated the apartment, but we just ordered Chinese.

Which isn't so bad, but it's weird, on Christmas.

Anyway, ball's tomorrow, I've gotten my dress, but I haven't met my date yet?
[identity profile] lovedthemost.livejournal.com
It's sort of depressing to think this'll be my first Christmas ever without my mum. That wouldn't even be so bad if... well.

Guess it saves me money on presents.

So I got a job.

Some of you have probably been there, but it's this little shop in downtown where they buy and sell used copies of things? Books, movies, music. I've got to say, it's actually brilliant working there. Some of this stuff is old as hell, but I remember when it was new, and it's kind of boggling.

I've actually found some old ratty tapes of the show I'm from. Doctor Who? Although they're from before my time, I guess. It's kind of funny, watching them.

Anyway, if you haven't been there, the shop is called Remix, and you should really stop in for a look.
[identity profile] lovedthemost.livejournal.com
Right, so.

I've been told I can't get in to get a proper look at whatever's been sucking us into this place without having actual credentials, which is a load if you ask me. Three years of experience with the unknown and now it's all scrubbed out and I have to get a job at a shop.

May as well just kill me now because I'm not doing that again.

First they're ripping people out of their natural timelines and doing who KNOWS what kind of damage to the dimensional rift, and now they're giving us the internet or whatever to communicate after being poked and prodded for hours.

They've got some screwed up sense of welcome here.
