Look, I don't know him as well as you guys, and maybe that was for the best. And yeah, he did stand by and let a guy shoot me. But I lived with him for a while and I've seen him around Knox. It doesn't make sense why Charlie would go psychotic on him- like, sure the rest of the world, but his bff?
