Last I heard, about the only real move in that direction was arresting Rokudou Mukuro. He's capable of it, but idk about any actual substantial proof.
Last official statement was...uh, lessee, right here (http://community.livejournal.com/indesolution/311194.html), but that's from before the whole control issue came up, so it...doesn't really say much about the situation now!
This is actually better than the government in my world would be doing. Which doesn't say much for where I come from.
