At least, I thought that school would be interesting. I thought the Scholars at Jordan were boring, but I think I got used to it, and then they were interesting. The Scholar at my new school is just boring. I read other parts in my experimental theology book while the professor was lecturing. There was just talk about thermodynamics and entropy and that's all, there wasn't a mention of anything else about it. Do they want everyone to become scientists here? I thought they'd teach something interesting when it came to experimental theology and philosophy but it was just about things that don't mean anything.

I asked my professor about how I got here from my own world and she wouldn't tell me. I wonder if I study physics if they'll tell me then. Then maybe there's some use for physics after all, so maybe it's a good thing.

You've got a party planned? Really? What kind? Is it a stuffy party like they used to have at Jordan? Or is it a cocktail party with people from all over the world? Are you going to have quail eggs and caviar and Tokay?

ehh.. good question. It could be any kind of party! Everyone could come, so they could turn it into whatever type of party would make them happy. Quail eggs? ehh maybe, for commoners like Haruhi! Caviar sounds nice. Lots of cake.

Quail eggs are not commoner food! The scholars at Jordan used to eat them all the time when they had their big parties. It was the Master of Jordan's favorite. Cake is more of a commoner food. We used to have it for birthdays, and Christmas, and for dessert. But quail eggs were special.

ah, I'm sorry. Things must be different in Japan. It was nothing like France, so I am sure the difference between where I'm from and where you are from- entire worlds of differences- exists just like that. Cake isn't very special, I suppose, but I think it's someone everyone can like.

Maybe it is different. Here I have to make my own food. When I traveled I had to make my own food too – but when I was at Jordan, all the servants used to make food for me.

I understand completely! I'm afraid preparing our own meals is not something Eclair and I are used to. It's quite challenging, but very fun!

Ohh.. Omelets with eggs, right? That sounds delicious. I can make ramen and Eclair knows a little about crepes and once we've made spaghetti- but that is about it. Rice is very difficult! Coca Cola? How do you get it in the can!

Yeah, they're pretty good. Someone I know makes them better, though. I don't make the Coca Cola, I can get one out of the cooler.

Spaghetti sounds hard. How did you get all the spices for it? Don't you have to let it boil for a long time?

What's Japan?

Japan is the country where my father was born. There were shoguns and they ate with chopsticks and sat under kotatsus! I didn't come to the country until about a year ago, and there is much more to tell. It was like this place, but noisier and a little kinder. In my world, there is a place called Jordan, but it was very far away. What was your home like?

Oh, that's called Nippon in my world. You're half Nipponese, Tamaki?

I came from Oxford, Jordan College is my home. There's a lot of scholars there, and servants. There are hidden pathways between the buildings, and it's usually cloudy. When the sun comes out, Pan and I go onto the roofs. There are gyptians and every once in a while they come by with goods from all over the world. I haven't found anything Nipponese, though.

Yes! Nippon was the old name for it. Eeh, Oxford? We had an Oxford in my world too. London, England and all that. Wouldn't it be funny if our world's were the same!
