At least, I thought that school would be interesting. I thought the Scholars at Jordan were boring, but I think I got used to it, and then they were interesting. The Scholar at my new school is just boring. I read other parts in my experimental theology book while the professor was lecturing. There was just talk about thermodynamics and entropy and that's all, there wasn't a mention of anything else about it. Do they want everyone to become scientists here? I thought they'd teach something interesting when it came to experimental theology and philosophy but it was just about things that don't mean anything.

I asked my professor about how I got here from my own world and she wouldn't tell me. I wonder if I study physics if they'll tell me then. Then maybe there's some use for physics after all, so maybe it's a good thing.

They're making me go. It's not so bad, I guess. College at home was a lot more interesting, this school here is pretty boring.

Strange, but I suppose they are that desperate for scientists that they enforce education. Do you like physics? I think it's an interesting idea, but too complicated to learn all at once.

That's what people in the other world called it; they called it physics. In my world they called it experimental theology and philosophy because none of the theories had been proven yet. It's a lot different here.

I like physics, but it's a whole lot of numbers and theorems that don't do anything except tell you when something moving will be at point A or point B. They don't tell you about how we got here or how other people get here. I don't know if people stumble upon a window or are grabbed.

I like the sound of experimental theology and philosophy. Takes a while to say, though. In my world they called it all magic, but they don't have that here, so they've found better explanations.

Magic? What do you mean by that? There's only a few kinds of magic that I've heard off, and they were all tricks of light and mind games.

Magic. Dragons stay in the air, people walk on the earth, and blue fire shines in the heart of the rain-wilder's flame jewels. It's not something people do, just something that exists, as simple and complex as plants growing or water running.
