Dear Secret Santa,

I'd really like a frog so I can do my experiment, but I really don't think there are any here. So instead, I want some more fingerprint powder and luminol! I'd really like the aluminum powder, because it works on almost any surface, but if you can't find that, I guess I'll take granite. Oh, if you could get the titanium dioxide one, too, that'd be really helpful! I need something to use on dark surfaces, it's so hard to lift prints when all you use is the dark powder! But I'd rather have the luminol, if you have to end up picking somehow.

Um, you can get it by e-mail order on a site ... or, I guess, just go to the supply store that's here, too. I don't know if you're older than me or not, but if you're a student, you can just say that it's for school. They even give you a discount! If you're not a student... it still shouldn't be very expensive! I can usually afford it, but I just saved up enough money to get a microscope, so I'll be broke again really soon.

I'm really glad that we're arranging a group of girls to go shopping! I never know what to wear. I'm not sure what I should do with my hair, either. I wonder if I should paint my nails, too... This is hard! I need Lana to help me with these things!

I must admit, I don't usually expect to have unconscious boys delivered to my door. My thanks to the anonymous benefactor who left him there; he's quite recovered now. Next time perhaps you will know to take him to his own room, which is on the first floor of an entirely different building. Hopefully the eighteen samurai who did the damage are similarly recovering from their own wounds which I am assured are numerous.


Waffles are odd, and the people in the Dome are also - decidedly moreso in person, as I discovered at Sofer's little gathering yesterday.


Despite the fact that I have promised innumerable young ladies dances, I don't actually have an escort to the ball. My room-mate has already been asked, which is to be expected of such a wonderful girl - though of course, if she doesn't have the finest time possible I will likely be strongly dissatisfied. As I am not interested in throwing myself to the whims of a matchmaking service; are there any young ladies in dire need of a date? I promise I will be an utter gentleman, and you would be under no obligation to spend time with me past the front door.
