And I thought that college was bad the first time. At least I don't have to take anything that isn't related to science this time. One more writing class and I would have started throwing snacks in protest. I'm sure it would have been effective.

Look, it's me, Ema Skye. Sorry for disappearing like that, but I had no say in the matter. Experiencing my life only to find that I failed my forensics test was not something I wanted to do. I would have avoided it if I could.

So, now I'm here, and I lack qualifications to be in forensics. Again! And this time I'm older! School here would have been easier at eighteen than, well, now. And no way am I going to work for the police department again. No offense, I just can't stand working there as a detective. It's terrible!

I mean, it's not that I don't like the laboratory or scientists here at all, they've all been so nice! And I might finally have a job! But I really miss my sister, and Mr. Marshall... and even the Blue Badger! Oh my gosh, the Blue Badger... I'm so used to seeing him, so I was surprised to hear that the police department here doesn't have a mascot!

But, that's not really the point!!

... I really miss Lana.

You know, the scientists haven't mentioned anything like portal technology at all. They probably wouldn't tell me if they were working on anything like that, since I'm not... you know, one of them? And it's probably supposed to be top secret, but I wonder if they'd let me help. Maybe I'm too young to, or they don't want me helping because I'm not from here.

I just think that if we all work hard enough, we should be able to find a way back.

This is the best Christmas ever! Not only did I get exactly what I asked my Secret Santa for (thank you!!), but Miss Fey gave me a wonderful present, and now I get access to the chemicals in the Babylon laboratory!! I might never come out now!

I kept thinking that because Mr. Wright and Mr. Edgeworth came, then maybe Lana would come here too. Even Miss Fey came, and that man that she knew (he seemed to know Mr. Wright, but I don't think I've ever heard about him before). But Lana still isn't here. It was a little hard for me to study abroad before, but I got used it. But this is different, because we're in completely different dimensions. Before, Lana was just a plane ride away, but now she probably has no way of getting here unless they decide to transport her here, too.

I know... that she might not ever come here. I mean, Maya isn't here, either, and people like Mr. Gant aren't, but that's something I'm actually glad for. Oh, no, what if someone like him showed up here when there's no Lana? I don't know what I would do.

I hope she's doing okay...

The Tesla coil is coming along! Not much, because I've been really busy with school so far, but I have a really small model done, just like the earliest coils Tesla ever made! It's really small, it's only in a two-by-six inch tube! I think I'll keep it on my desk!

I played some Final Fantasy XI, too! It's a lot of fun, but I've only seen a few slime molds so far, and none of them are very accurate! I mean, they aren't really sentient like that, and they're really not that color, either! They could have used a science book to at least help with the design! Accuracy matters, especially when science is involved! I don't think I'll be playing it for much longer, since I have too much work to do to be playing video games.

Ack! Speaking of that, I really have to go back to studying. I still have all of these life cycles to memorize, even though it doesn't look like any of these things really grow in this place! Oh well. I can hardly wait until our tests are over. I love school, but I really want it to be Christmas!
