There are all different kinds of strings in this place, and it looks like I'll be heading back to school for a six months of training. It seems like it's been a really long time since I've been to college, and hey, maybe it'll be the same. Except for the food, that can be cut out, I'll feed myself. I'll eat a lot of things, but there's still cafeteria food lodged in my gut from grad school.

I haven't been able to find a place that has instant ramen. No instant curry, either. It seems like all the food requires boiling, baking and frying. I got some curry spice, but it's not the same thing. Hm... ah... Let's just say it's not instant. I tried to make dinner, but I think I've just settled for a beer instead.



I'm not sure about anything that describes itself as "deliciously versatile." The yellow doesn't go with the kitchen. Pen Pen wouldn't even touch it.

Oh, speaking of that! I got an old ice cream refrigerator for Pen Pen. He seems to like it just fine, but it's just a little strange. Moving's always like that, though. He'll get used to it, and soon it'll be familiar and just like home. I think he was having stomach problems for a while, so I started mixing his food with a little bit of tea and ginger and he seems to be getting used to it.

One thing I can say the science training here's got going for it is that I'm definitely learning new shit.

So at least I can look forward to learning something new? It's not like going back to college is really something I'm looking forward to in general. I guess I should see it more as "training" then "going back to college," but it's one of those ingrain unconscious thoughts that pops up when I think of learning something new about things like this.

Yeah well, all I'm saying is that at least you won't be bored out of your skull right? I'm not exactly crazy about the idea of school either and it's not like the "training" doesn't involve homework but. Well I've got nothing to back that up. But maybe the lack of ramen is a good thing 'cause personally that would give me college flashbacks.
