I guess I hadn't expected something like this when it was all over. They told me I should be pretty straight-forward with this sort of thing. I remember them mentioning something about Luke Skywalker and Frodo something, but I can't really remember it that clearly. I guess it doesn't matter, but they said I was pretty popular for my time. Right, anyway.

My name is Harry Potter. Er, apparently, I was the main character of a famous series that took place around the same time as it was written. I stopped Voldemort and I thought I had a chance at a brilliant life, but maybe I was wrong. They told me that there are loads of copies of my books here, but I've got to admit that I don't really want to see them. It makes me a little uneasy, all right? I might check them out when I have a chance.

I guess that's all.

Oh! Hey! I read your books too. Should've guessed, right? It was kinda a long time ago because I want to say I was still in my teens. Maybe I was a little older. Either way, my ex used to make fun of me because they were kid's books. Or, wait? It must've been college then. Okay, so I still don't think I was too old for them. They were great books, no matter how old you were! I don't know how much the Japanese translation differed, but it was just one of those factors that were put into mass production, right?

Anyway, compared to the place I'm from, this place isn't all that bad. Food's kind of bad, and the alcohol is really lacking, but that means I just have to wait around until I can get some good stuff. How do you screw up beer? All you have to do is boil it, bury it, and dig it up after it settles. Maybe it comes with the whole "growing of the hops" bit.

How about the part where they screw up the beer?

Well, I've never actually had beer. Mrs Weasley's pretty good about keeping us away from it, even if Fred and George tried sneaking us some when we were there for a short time during the summer. Ron said it'd be brilliant if we could get some while hunting for the horcruxes, but between trying not to say Voldemort's name, the way the locket was working, and learning about the Deathly Hallows, I suppose it makes sense that we never had a chance. Ron said we should try to have some after we left school, but then I was pulled here.

Long enough for me, but you might want to think about making a tad longer for any the other ladies you're talking to. You know, just to appease us.

I'm really only worried about Ginny arriving, to be honest. If that's what you're hinting at, anyway.

But yeah, I guess. But if Ron shows up, just act like I haven't tried anything. He'll be cross if he finds out I went off and had a drink without him.
