indesolution | (no subject)

OMG! :D I have a job! I never knew having superpowers (like, of a sort) would actually count towards my resume. Also my complete love of horror and horror movies. XD And I mean getting a job seems like this really grown-up thing to do, but I don't think it's that kind of job. Mostly I help out Yuuko, who I think might have special powers of charm and charisma because I really like her! Not that I don't normally not like people, I'm not some anti-social freak just 'cause I wear dark clothes, but I tried cooking my mom's chicken masala (which was like, her idea of adventurous food, wtf) and it didn't really turn out that well? But it's the first time I've tried cooking a ~serious~ meal since I got here.

Ooookay, babble much? I promise I type way, way more than I talk. XD Downside of a life spent in chatrooms, lol. But it's nice to have something to do that isn't (ugh) school. It's not like I need to actually do anything like what I used to back home, I mean even if this shitty little dome needed saving there's the X-Men and all the West Coasters and stuff to do that, right? Or whatever, people from TV shows... my point is I'm enjoying this return to my nice normal adolescence for a while.

Though I plan on listening to the govt just as much as I listened to my parents, hi yeah my super power is a staff that comes out of my chest, not planning on murdering anyone, I'm so glad we shared... it's a little Orwell if you ask me. Or Blade Runner, did anyone else ever see Blade Runner? Though I think Babylon was the name of some other sci-fi book. Honestly? I just like Harrison Ford movies. Not Star Wars (I remember Victor nearly cried when he found out I hadn't seen a single Star Wars film, it was funny.)

In conclusion, I'm thinking of getting a piercing, and learning bass guitar, and doing all the stuff I really honestly meant to do the first time around. Someone already asked about the piercing place, but anyone with enough xp to give me lessons would be cool. And oh man, someone said they worked at a music store, right? I neeeeed my metal fix. I want to get a knock-off iPod and just fill it up with everything, but seriously if I go another five minutes without hearing some Nightwish or Alice In Chains I will just die.

That's the one. I kept meaning to watch them, a lot of my friends in fresh year were really into it. But I mean, it's just a space drama, right? Why the hype? I like my sci-fi with a little less Nazi-metaphor, a little more dystopia.

It's not hype, sci-fi wouldn't be where it is if it wasn't for Star Wars, it's like the genre's Lord of the Rings. Like, yeah it's a little cliche and I'm kinda glad I died before Revenge of the Sith was released (not that I didn't watch it as soon as I got here and I didn't even have to wait two years to do it but at least Lucas never sucked more hard-stolen cash out of me) — it's just freaking epic and the science is pretty well thought out in terms of space exploration and planet colonizing and robotics and it had the best effects of the time. Plus lightsabers? Jedi? Sith? AWESOME SUPERPOWERED DUDES DUKING IT OUT? Very cool.

I feel like I'm racking up nerd points just reading that comment. I don't like Lord of the Rings either, really. I mean, I sort of remember picking them up and I fell asleep in the middle of the second book. The Hobbit was cool, though, and the movies were okay, I mean Hollywood and its book-adaption craze, I sort of get it confused with that one with the dragon? But it had some really good actors in it. Anyway, died?

omg you run that store.I have been looking everywhere trying to find the Bardo Thodol — you don't stock it, I already asked one of the other guys, apparently the Book of the Dead isn't Dome-worthy material. My parents made sure I saw Star Wars! :) They're actually really good, but um, I had to rewatch them after seeing them as a kid. I always fell asleep through them, but the spaceships weren't that realistic. There really isn't sound in space.

Didn't they have T-shirts for a while, too? Like ... "Vader is Luke's father" or whatever. The new movies weren't so bad, but I think it's just because Natalie Portman is kind of hot. Um, not in the first one, but the later ones.

Sadly heavy breathing doesn't translate well to t-shirt slogans. Natalie Portman can even pull off a shaved head, so I really can't disagree. Should we watch them from beginning to end, or in the order they were released?
