I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to find my thoughts turn to God, given the unusual and extreme situation in which I find myself. Man has always looked to religion for solace, for reassurance, and despite my moments of doubt, I still find it comforting to believe that there is one God over all these worlds, that He, at least, is with me no matter where I go.
Easter was harder; I kept remembering Easter as a child - white stockings and Mary Janes, Easter egg hunts on the base, the smell of incense and lilies. I have no specific memories of Ascension Sunday, no particular traditions. Yet I still feel the urge to mark this day somehow.
Perhaps, back home, my family will be celebrating, too.

Ky, Nico, do you still want to come over today for Ascension Sunday? Afterwards we can have pancakes or something, if you like.
