Oh, is this thing on? I was given to understand that if I wrote something in here, other people would be able to see it. Is that true?

I must say, I've never written journals on a computer before. I'm sure there's some degree of efficiency to this method, although surely in the long run people will neglect pen and paper in favor of this method. Too much of a good thing, as they say. At the very least this... ah, whatever, may be useful in the future, so it will have to do.

I'd like to add that I've found myself in a rather strange environment. It is both similar to and unlike the human world all at once. There is life here, and yet it seems remarkably scarce. Moreover I'm certain I've never been anywhere quite like this before, and you'll have to take my word for it when I say that in itself is a remarkable feat. You wouldn't happen to know where I am, would you? Or... well, whoever "you" may be. I don't suppose this is directed to anyone in particular, really.

... might this be what they call an "internet," I wonder?

You see, I was given to understand that this world was separate from our own. I can only help but wonder if that means it has... well, certain realms that are similar to and yet different from our own. Surely you see what I'm getting at, don't you?

What's to say? They're doing a better job at cocking things up than I could; well, almost. Torture, riots in the streets, even the schoolkids fight. Government wants everyone breeding, so they put drugs in the water; recently they handed out some babies, as you do. Not everyone's human, but a lot of them are more your sort of people than mine, though some make my skin crawl. I think that's about the long and short of it.

On the contrary, it appears there's quite a lot to say about this world. Especially for one that's boring as you so claim.

Humans do a frighteningly good job of destroying their own world without any "divine intervention" from either side. I don't know about you, my boy, but it certainly makes me wonder. Nevermind that all this seems a bit counter-productive to population.

There's a lot going on, doesn't mean any of it's interesting. I'm the last person to throw around words like "petty", but...

Still. Been watching for a while now, and I'm still fully functional but there's no sign of anything Higher or Lower, which after such a long time is a little bit discomforting. Lady who claims to be descended from Noah, though, she's lovely, and at least three other demons (slash half-demons, ex-demons, etc) at last count.

It is fascinating, is it not? That man developed a mechanism capable of pulling others from different worlds as well as time periods? I'm rather curious as to who's behind it all.

Our worlds may have commonalities, but that doesn't mean that they are the same. My world was at its end. There are many here who are from different variations of Earth.

I suppose that the concept of a machine that is able to draw being from worlds that are referenced in this reality as fictional is interesting.
