I had my first non-post-portal pregnancy checkup today.  Oh joy.  Anyway, everything is fine so far.  Apparently, I won't really show until the fourth or fifth month or so because of my build/musculature.  Hooray?  Trimester #2 starts in a few weeks.

The due date is February 2nd.  Yes, the baby might see its shadow and crawl back in for six more weeks.  Groundhog's Day jokes are officially not amusing anymore.

And eight words I've never used before and never thought I would: How am I going to pay for this?  The only employment suggestion I've gotten so far is law enforcement and... there are just so many issues with that I don't even know where to start.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm qualified to do.  Not like I ever planned for a career.  Locksmith, maybe (is there even a need?)  Gymnastics/boxing/whip/etc instructor (the pregnancy's an issue.)  Art gallery manager (not that there are any.)  Cat sitter (for all those frequent travelers.)  But I'm sure atypical job history is a common problem here...

Yes, so he claims. So far all I've seen him do is short out the toaster, but I'll be keeping on my guard. He seems easier to live with than my old roommate, though he's also around much more.
