It's late, but I think I would like to pay the piano a visit. It's been a long time since I was graced with its presence. My mind is in need of humbling.

You said you've played the piano since you were young? It seems that parents like to expose their children to that type of culture, whether or not their children approve of it. My parents were the same way. The appreciation came later.

I gave it up as soon as I left home and still haven't really looked back. It just wasn't my thing. The parents would take me to symphonies and it was beautiful, but I'd always fall asleep.

I suppose it can be rather dull! There are also some who have a natural talent for music. It's those people who truly make the music engaging. There are many of us with different talents; I can see how it would be difficult for someone who's calling lies elsewhere.

I guess it just feels kinda cheesy. Most of the shit I find humbling isn't anything to be proud of but there's also trying to be a good person. I used to be an EMT but I don't think I really got any of the humility until after I stopped.

Being in any sort of medical profession is admirable; as is being a good person. It's really all someone can do.
