Maybe Dana's right and the government's reading this crap.  If so, consider this an open letter.

That little meeting the other day was cute, but representation and politics rarely if ever help anything.  Neither does the law, corrupt or choked in red tape bullshit.  Pardon the cheesiness, but the problem is this damn city doesn't have a soul.

Take Gotham's East End.  Plenty of people there who didn't want to be there.  Didn't have a choice.  Sound familiar?  The difference was there was history there, a culture.  It breathed.  It wasn't just inhabited by people.  It made them.  And stuck or not, they actually lived instead of sitting around waiting for a way to get out.

You wouldn't believe how much I miss that hellhole.

This isn't a melting pot or whatever little metaphor you want to slap on.  It's a holding pen full of far too many self-sacrificing world-saving idiots who're never going to have a damn thing to do on a deep-fried planet.  Maybe temporary enemies and fake beaches and the hope of getting the fuck out can make people holy shit was th
