I haven't really thought to sit down and write in this for a few weeks, now. It's been busy, between the new year and...well.

I've been spending a lot of time at the hospital. I've never been to a place like that before! In Spira, we had healers, but most of them lived within the temples. The sick and injured would stay in their homes, and we would go to them.

I wish there was more I could do here, to help, but I guess we just have to wait and pray.

They didn't have places like hospitals in my world, either. We sort of had the same thing, healers, kind of; but they didn't use magic. They used medicines and people didn't go to the hospital, the doctors came to them.

Was that the name of your world, Spira? That's a pretty name.

That's what I think. The machina they have the sick people hooked up to help monitor their patients more closely though, which probably does improve their odds of survival.

What's it like?

It's mostly water. And the islands are warm and green and full of life. It's almost always warm where I come from, although the climates vary depending on where in the world you are.

All different kinds! We have humans, of course, and the Ronso, Al Bhed, Guado, Hypello... There's dozens!

A Ronso is what my friend Kimahri is! They're an ancient race that guard the Sacred Mountain Gagazet. They're tall, furry, and blue. They look sort of like cats, only much bigger, and they can talk. They're also very quick and powerful.
