I found a copy of the "video game" that we're supposed to be from.

It's... sitting on the shelf right now, and I'm afraid to touch it. It's silly, but I feel like playing it will be like admitting that Spira isn't real. And I just can't accept that. What happened to us is real. I remember everything, every moment, in my heart. I can still hear you promising that if I whistle, you'll come.

I whistle for you every day, but you still haven't come.

I'm still hoping. I want to introduce you to my new friends.

It's been four months, and still no sign of you. I won't give up hope that I'll find my way back to you, or that you'll find me here, though. I know we'll be together again.

Rikku is here with me now! Oh I missed her so much, and I'm really happy to see her again! ...But she doesn't remember our adventures that led me back to you. I haven't brought them up, but she gave me a sphere, one I already had. The sphere that started my whole journey. The one I thought was you, but now I know that isn't true.

I still have my sphere grids, and now I have two matching spheres of Shuin demanding to see Lenne. It's funny that I almost hope they show up here too, isn't it? Then they can have somewhere to live out their days happily, without the Machina War to tear them apart.

I've been really busy with work! They've had me picking up shifts, because one of the other waitresses has been very sick, lately. I don't mind, it's nice to have th extra work, and she really does need her rest, if she's going to get better!

It's been almost a month since Rikku and I ended up here. I've done a lot! I got a job at a little cafe, and I sing during the lunch and dinner hours. In between I wait tables. I've had to learn a lot of new music that I don't know, but I've still got my dresspheres, and the pay is actually really good. I'll be able to buy good presents for Aang and Rikku, at least!

They've got this holiday coming up, called "Christmas." It seems like it's similar to the Thanksgiving holiday, only with presents for people you love. There's also a lot of decorations everywhere!

It's been almost a month and you still aren't here. I miss you. But I won't lose hope that we'll be together again soon.

I wonder if they'll let us help out with setting up for the ball even if we don't have dates for later...?

I've been here a few days now, and there's no sign of you. I guess, this is just how our story goes.

I miss you, but I'll keep smiling, and I'll make friends here, and I'll find my way back to you. After all, you found your way back to me, it's only fair, right?

And at least Rikku and Baralai are here! Two familiar faces in a sea of strangers. It's nice to be able to walk down the street and not have every other person stopping to bow before you, though.

Still, imaginary world or not, Spira is my home.

They've really collected a lot of people here, haven't they? The apartment buildings are always so busy! I've been trying to find a job, but I haven't had much luck, so far. I guess a lot of my skills aren't very useful here in the "real world."

I'll find something, though.
