I thought I would check out this sort of thing, even if it is still very confusing. Also, to look for someone. I don't see him so far, but I've bought some storage space as a makeshift bunker, just in case. I keep dropping off food in the event I have to stay there again. I have to be prepared.

I know I have already said this to some of you, but it bears repeating. I'd just like to thank everyone who attended the Thanksgiving Dinner; you made it a very special occasion. Even those of you whose manners were less than polite. For those of you who were unable to make it, I hope you enjoy the next group event, whatever it may be.

A few people have asked me if I'm planning anything for Christmas - as that is a more widespread holiday, I imagine it is less necessary for me to organise a public event. However I will be spending Christmas Eve with family and friends, and I sincerely hope that all of you will be, too.

I'd just like to take this time to speak about the renewal of the seasons. Mr. Drake has already addressed this issue - with accompanying pictures - however I agree that the normal cycle of seasons is important for the health and mental well-being of a society. I hope that this coming election, summer and winter shall be restored; and if so, I would take that as a demonstration of the government listening to the people whose lives they have interrupted. It may seem a small thing, but often it only takes a few pebbles falling to start a landslide.

I wish there were someone else here aside from Hal and Fan. They're both wonderful in their own ways, but distant at the same time. I can only hope things will change. I'm probably silly to even hope that, but this place is different. It's voluntary. I want to help here, though. I don't think I can do as much as the others, or even Hal, could do, but I want to try.

I've contacted the officials about it and they encouraged me to enter the accelerated university program. The advances here aren't that unlike what they did back home, but there were different problems. I'll have to enter and see what I can do.


I'll have to poke Hal about lunch soon, but I need to have waffles with Rube first. He's a good roommate and I can learn a lot from him. It's almost like being with someone before the Black Ep came in.

So I got a job.

Some of you have probably been there, but it's this little shop in downtown where they buy and sell used copies of things? Books, movies, music. I've got to say, it's actually brilliant working there. Some of this stuff is old as hell, but I remember when it was new, and it's kind of boggling.

I've actually found some old ratty tapes of the show I'm from. Doctor Who? Although they're from before my time, I guess. It's kind of funny, watching them.

Anyway, if you haven't been there, the shop is called Remix, and you should really stop in for a look.

Aside from the ridiculous propoganda about furthering the species, this place isn't half bad. No Blood Gulch, no stupid war, and only one annoying Red.

Granted Tucker is here too, but I don't have to occupy the same breathing space as him unless I want to. Which I don't. Ever.
