I have to keep telling myself that this isn't finding replacements, but that's really what it is, isn't it? I feel bad, but they would understand the need to go on. And if they showed up, Angel Investigations would include them on the staff. I wouldn't think twice about it. Cordelia's just making sure I don't get in too deep like I did last time. I'm not planning on letting a thing like that happen again, but that's what she's good for. She's my best friend, and ... Yeah, that's still a bit complicated, let's get away from there.

This still feels weird, but it's not so bad. I've got to get used to this sort of system if I want to do what I'm good at doing here. There's some kind of spiritual activity going on, so it's logical to think that something else might not be so far behind. And that's what Angel Investigations is for.

It's nice to focus n that. Better to think about it than why I'm not in Buffy's apartment almost all days of the week or how it's easier to be around Cordelia sometimes. This is easy, and I have to do easy. There aren't quick fixes in this world.

All right, I figure this is the best place to post some job openings. Angel Investigations is opening. We used to deal with the supernatural, but I'm willing to be a bit creative. As Cordelia mentioned, I make good omelettes, so at least you'll get that out of the job.

There's a few openings. Cordelia's a psychic and I'm a vampire, but anyone good with computers and forensics will probably be right up our alley. A good knowledge of mythology and lore would be good, too, and language skills, especially Latin. If you're interested, comment here. There will be an ad posted up. Admittedly, we're still putting the office together, and by we, I mean Cordelia. I just carry the heavy things in.

Well, I don't like to brag...

...but we do have a perfect record at the SBPD with 31 cases solved over the past two years, including at least two that were previously closed and several that were thought to be unsolvable. :) But those are just, you know. Numbers.

Yeah, but I'm really, totally fine though. And yep! Just future stuff. Angel Investigations is sort of more about like, saving people than really the investigating? Like, I get police solve stuff after it's happened, so we try and take care of it before someone really gets hurt.

Right, but I'm feeling sympathetic with the you in my vision, not the you I'm talking to on the computer. Unless there's also another you around, which I guess is possible. Tell me, do they do clones in your world? Of the non-mechanical variety: I already know about the guy with the robots.

Interesting... Gus and I are more up on the crime-solving, catching-the-bad-guys thing. Although we've had a couple of serial murder cases, so I guess we saved some people there. Future victims! And once a little boycat.
