I'm not sure if it's a relief or insanely irritating that there is almost no folklore that's survived into the culture of this city.

Because there's no trouble. We can't go looking for the paranormal when there's nothing leaving us signs. No cattle mutilation, no missing people, not even signs of dying crops.

No sense looking for something if it's not there. I say we relax until something shows up and then we'll deal with it when it happens. We've been here for how long? And we haven't seen a single demon pop up and start causing trouble.

If something could pop up, I'd rather catch it before it wipes out the tiny population here, if it's all the same.

And when demons pop up, they usually give a few warning signs. If something starts happening, we'll catch it. Until then, there's no point in spending all your time in the library or glued to your computer.
