I guess if we're all going to dodge all the zombie business, I may as well bring this up.

They got rid of those things awful quick, didn't they? I mean, there were literally thousands of those creatures, and not only did they manage to cure whoever got bit, there isn't a trace of any of those things left on the street. Well, aside from the damage I mean.

They couldn't have just tossed 'em outside either, not without risking exposing the whole colony to radiation.

It all seems a little suspicious, if you ask me.

So, sure. They could've mashed 'em all up and put 'em in our sausage, but then they'd be killing the lot of us, which they sort've seem to frown upon around here.

The second sentence was more of a joke than anything, but I don't think disposal of them without the portal is a complete impossibility. I don't know the scientific advances here well enough to say if they've developed anything that might, say, radically speed up decomposition, but I wouldn't assume anything too fast.

How much do you know? This isn't meant to be sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious. I haven't looked into much myself, and I come from a world with a lower level of technology and a higher level of mysticism.

I know that out've all the buildings in all of Babylon, the only one that's really guarded is the one that we all come out of when we arrive. Everything else you can get into, basically.
